What We Do

The cats and kittens that you see on this blog have come to KCC for a variety of reasons. Some are abandoned - the owners move away and leave them, cats are thrown out because they are pregnant or unwanted kittens are dumped in dustbins, cardboard boxes or even thrown out of cars. In other situations the owner has died, there has been a relationship break-up, allergies, a new baby or an owner has simply become bored of their kitten after a few short months. The reasons why cats and kittens come to KCC vary hugely, but no matter where they come from they all get the best care possible.

All cats and kittens are given a thorough examination by a vet and any illness or injury is treated immediately. They are vaccinated, given flea and worm treatment and microchipped, any cats that are old enough will be neutered. All cats and kittens will then be taken in to foster homes until they are ready to be adopted and an appropriate new home has been found.

Some cats, due either to age or tempremant, are unable to be rehomed so they stay with us to be loved and cared for. No animal is ever put to sleep except on a vets recommendation.
